Sister Love

Gracie came home from school so excited today because she is one marble away from earning a turn at the treasure box. She told me that she was going to get a red bear out of the box  and give it to Lizzie. When Lizzie has her turn at the box, she picks things out for Gracie. These two girls are always happy for each other and their individual successes.

I am constantly amazed by the bond and love they have.

Fun on a Warm Winter Day

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Klyde Warren Park for a fun day. We wandered around the park playing. The girls loved the park and played on everything. After playing, we ordered from the food trucks and had a picnic. The girls thought they was awesome.

 After the park, we decided to ride the M-Line Trolley. It was so much fun. We road it up and down the line and turned at the turntable. The turntable turns the trolley around with the passengers in it. It was interesting to witness. The trolley is well used and filled up quickly.

It was a fun family day for us.  It is always fun to experience something new as a family.

Christmas 2013

Christmas came quick this year! We started the winter break off with strep. Gracie came down with it on Saturday and postponed our leaving to Oklahoma until Monday. Wes came down with a virus that turned into a sinus infection. He was sick the entire time we were gone. Grace started feeling better by Christmas Day. We had three Christmas celebrations; one on Christmas Eve, one on Christmas Day and then the weekend after Christmas with my dad's family. We had fun at all of them!

We had a great time while we were there! We celebrated with tons of family!

December Fun

Wow! It's been a busy month! The month started off with an ice storm. We were iced in for about four days. Also, we had a couple of Christmas activities with church and the girls school.

Family Pictures Fall 2013

We had our family pictures taken again by our favorite photographer, Allison Lezon. The pictures turned out fantastic!

Halloween 2013

This Halloween Nana made the girls costumes. Lizzie was a cowgirl and Gracie was a fairy. The girls really loved picking out their fabric. We had tons of activities to this year to dress up. I'm glad they had sturdy costumes! First they worn them to our church's Halloween HullabaBOO, next they wore them to school and finally Halloween night. On Halloween, the dads at the school wore capes helped with drop off. The kids loved it.

Like every year, we went trick-or-treating with the Shers and Halsteads. It was a blast!

Halloween is one of the girls favorite holidays! It was a great one for them!

Pumpkin Patch

October is a fun month for us. Lizzie and Gracie love Halloween and pumpkins. There is a small but sweet pumpkin patch close to the house that the girls love. Each year, we visit this pumpkin patch several times. After Halloween, Lizzie asks when the patch will be open again and talks about it all year.
